What started as a regional initiative in Arnhem has grown into an international platform where companies, governments, knowledge institutions, startups, and talent come together to shape the future of energy. That’s why, from 2027 onwards, Arnhem Electricity Week becomes European Electricity Week.
This name change reflects where we are heading because the energy transition doesn’t stop at borders. Arnhem remains our home and our foundation. European Electricity Week is the next step in bringing the impact of what happens here in Arnhem to the rest of Europe.

European Electricity Week is an initiative by a dynamic coalition of organisations from the (East) Netherlands energy ecosystem, united in their mission to give international visibility to the solutions and possibilities of the energy transition.
The event originated in 2023 from an initiative by Citymarketing Arnhem, taken up by a marketing consultation on energy in which the following parties collaborate:
Kema, DNV, TenneT, IPKW, Arnhems Buiten, Municipality of Arnhem, Province of Gelderland, Green Metropolis Region, OostNL, University of Applied Sciences HAN, Kiemt, The Economic Board, Citymarketing Arnhem, Creative Arnhem, and Connectr — Energy & Innovation.
The lead organisation is the Connectr Energy and Innovation Foundation, which coordinates the event and drives its continued growth from its base at Cleantech Park Arnhem.
Together, these parties form a coalition dedicated to shaping the future of new energy and fostering innovation in the Arnhem region and far beyond.

European Electricity Week will start on Monday 24 May and end on Saturday 29 May 2027, following a six-day journey with all sorts of B2B and B2C events.
This six-day journey will feature a dynamic mix of B2B and B2C events, including innovation showcases, hands-on demos, networking sessions, and expert talks. From all sorts of energy solutions to sustainable living insights, each day offers new opportunities to connect, learn, and get inspired by the future of electricity. Together, we want to speed up the energy transition.
